How the content is made
The lessons, practice tests and model answers are original material written for Abroadway with the help of AI writing tools, built around the public IELTS Academic test format and band descriptors, and checked automatically against the test's rules (question types, word limits, timings). Listening audio is generated with neural text-to-speech voices. Nothing is copied from official IELTS materials.
How scoring works
Listening and Reading answers are marked against answer keys and converted to bands with widely published conversion tables. Writing and Speaking are assessed automatically on the four official criteria for each skill: the system measures things like task coverage, organisation and linking, vocabulary range and accuracy, grammar, fluency and pronunciation, then estimates a band. These are honest estimates to guide practice, not official scores, and they are deliberately cautious.
